Jumat, 21 Mei 2004 (18:51 WIB) dari IP 220.127.116.11
A one-year postdoctoral position in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
starting on next Fall (around September 15) is available at the
International Institute for Advanced Scientific Studies "E.R.
Caianiello" (Salerno, Italy), in the group headed by Prof. Ferdinando
Mancini. It is worth noticing that a substantial part of the work will
be done at the Dipartimento di Fisica "E.R. Caianiello" of the
UniversitÓ degli Studi di Salerno.
FUNDING AND ELIGIBLE COUNTRIES
The position is funded on a grant from the World Laboratory Project and
is addressed to nationals of the following developing countries only:
Algeria, Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, China, Cameroon, India,
Egypt, Irak, Ethiopia, Jordan, Gambia, Korea, Ghana, Lebanon, Guinea
Bissau, Pakistan, Ivory Coast, Philippines, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Mali,
Syria, Morocco, Vietnam, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Senegal,
Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
Fundamental research will be performed on strongly correlated electron
systems (Hubbard model, t-J model, Kondo model, Anderson model, etc.) by
means of analytical (Green's function and equation of motion techniques,
etc.) and numerical (Exact diagonalization, Lanczos, quantum Monte
Carlo, etc.) tools in order to study the anomalous behavior of novel
oxides (high temperature superconductors, ruthenates, manganites, etc.).
For a detailed description of previous work done on the subject see the
web page at http://scs.sa.infn.it. You will belong to a highly motivated
team with numerous international contacts.
Doctoral degree in theoretical condensed matter physics and expertise in
the study of correlated electron systems through analytical and
numerical tools. Sufficient knowledge of the English language will be
required for successful project work.
Provide, please, within June 13, 2004, a CV with publication list and
description of research interests, and arrange for at least two letters
of reference to be sent to:
